Grab Your Camera... Grab Your Pen... or Grab Both!

As part of the 2009-2010 Pennsylvania Association of Senior Centers (PASC) Conference, to be held in State College, March 4-5, 2010. PASC is sponsoring a competition for photographers and poets to showcase their work. Professional and amateur photographers and poets, aged 50 and older, are invited to submit works related to aging.

The theme of this year's PASC Conference is: “The Winds of Change – A Vision of the Future.” In the photography category, contestants may submit up to three, previously unpublished, original photographs, printed from slides,negatives or original digital file format, in color or black and white, related to aging, highlighting this year’s theme. Poetry contestants may submit up to three, previously unpublished, original poems, also based on this year's theme.

Prizes will be awarded for each category: 1st—$100, 2nd—$75, 3rd—$50.

No entry fee is required, but entries must be postmarked by January 31, 2010and will not be returned. The winning photos and poems, as well as other selected photos and poems, will be displayed at the PASC Conference, March 4-5.

Note: Do not send the only existing copy of any work of art. All entries become the property of PASC and will not be returned. (The artist retains copyright, although PASC retains the right to one-time publication.)
