All persons applying for a Board Position shall be committed to the mission of the Creative Arts and Aging Network, attend all scheduled meetings, and shall be entitled one vote.

The goal for the Creative Arts and Aging Network Board is to be a collaboration of community arts representatives, social service agency representatives, artists and humanitarians.

The mission of the Creative Arts and Aging Network is to promote avenues and opportunities for all elders, artists, and people of the aging network to explore the arts as a means of life enhancement.

Creative Arts and Aging NetworkBoard Member Job Descriptions
President


  • Member ex oficio of all established committees and shall call special meetings of the board.
  • Shall appoint all committees, temporary or permanent.
  • Shall see all books, reports and other items required by law are properly kept or filed.
  • Shall be one of the officers who may sign checks or drafts of the organization.
Vice President
  • Shall be one of the officers who shall sign checks or drafts of the organization .
  • Shall exercise all duties incident to the office of Vice President or, in absence, all duties of President.

Recording Secretary
  • Shall keep the minutes and records of the organization in appropriate books.
  • Shall give and serve all notices to members of the organization, giving notices for meeting and agendas two weeks in advance of scheduled meeting.

Corresponding Secretary
  • Shall attend to all the correspondence of the organization and shall exercise all duties incident to the office of Secretary.

Treasurer
  • Must be one of the officers who shall sign checks or drafts of the organization. No special fund may be set aside that shall make it unnecessary for the Treasurer to sign the checks issued upon it.
  • Shall render at stated periods as the Board determines a written account of all finances of the organization and such report shall be physically affixed to the minutes of the Board at such a meeting.
  • Shall exercise all duties to the office of Treasurer.
Artist Representative
  • Shall represent the interests of participating CAAN artists at all times.
  • May act ex oficio of any special CAAN committee.

Steering Committee Board Member
  • Shall be entitled to one vote.
  • Shall serve established term.
  • Shall promote the mission of CAAN in the community and through active participation in scheduled meetings and events.
No officer shall for reason of this office be entitled to receive any salary or compensation
